Overview

Compare the target's situation to historical examples of those who refused orders and suffered consequences.

Steps

1. Establish Relative Authority

   • Ask: "How does your achievement compare to [famous predecessor]?"
   • Get acknowledgment that target is less accomplished

2. Compare Patrons

   • Ask: "How does current patron's authority compare to previous era?"
   • Establish that current patron has equal or greater power

3. Cite Consequence Example

   • Reference someone who refused similar orders
   • Describe their fate clearly (exile, death)

4. Draw Implicit Conclusion

   • State: "I don't know where you will die"
   • Let target reach their own conclusion
