Iced Desktop Ux

Use this skill when the task is mainly about layout, interaction design, visual hierarchy, responsiveness, accessibility, or native-feeling desktop behavior in an Iced app.

Workflow

1. Call resolve_workspace_context first to pin the Iced version in use.
2. For any widget or API choice, call search_iced_items and then fetch_official_doc_page on the exact item before recommending code.
3. Start from the task flow, not the widget list: identify the primary action, supporting actions, failure states, and the densest screen in the feature.
4. Read only the reference file you need:
   • references/review-checklist.md for audits and polish passes
   • references/widget-selection.md for choosing Iced layout and interaction primitives
   • references/platform-patterns.md for macOS, Windows, and Linux desktop fit

• Information hierarchy and scanability
• Affordance clarity: hover, pressed, disabled, selected, and error states
