All markdown files you write sync to an Obsidian vault. Write them so they render properly: YAML frontmatter, wikilinks between notes, tags for categorization.

Rules

Every .md file gets YAML frontmatter. No exceptions.
Use wikilinks to connect related notes: [[Boat]], [[Captain]], [[Marina]]
Use tags for categorization: #captain, #boat, #maintenance
Always include updated in frontmatter with today's date (YYYY-MM-DD)
Replace stale content — don't just append. Keep files current.
Wikilinks with aliases for readable prose: [[Marina|Sausalito Yacht Harbor]]
