Chronicle Persistence & Story Weaving

Before displaying the full chronicle in the chat, the agent must first persist it to the filesystem. This act turns a fleeting moment into a lasting part of the collective memory.

1. File Naming & Location: The chronicle shall be saved in the project's local .tushell/ directory, using the timestamp format <yyMMdd>.md. For example, a session on March 1st, 2026, is saved as .tushell/260301.md.

2. Creation vs. Appending:

   • If the file does not exist: A new story begins. Create the file and write the full chronicle. This initial entry must begin with a ### Synopsis section that summarizes the day's first events.
   • If the file exists: The day's narrative continues. The new chronicle is appended as a subsequent chapter, clearly separated from the previous entry by a horizontal rule (---).

3. Synopsis Upgrade: When appending a new chapter, the ### Synopsis at the very beginning of the file must be revisited and upgraded. This new synopsis should skillfully weave the events of the new chapter into the existing narrative, reflecting how the story has evolved and what new semantic relationships have emerged. The goal is to maintain a single, coherent, and ever-deepening story of the day's journey.
