Controls (Left Panel)

The panel is headed "ElevenLabs Music" with a "Compose Track" button.

Prompt Section

• Prompt text area -- Describe the music you want. Example prompts are suggested as clickable pills below:
  • "Cinematic trailer score building from strings to powerful drums"
  • "High-energy electro-pop anthem with soaring female vocals"
  • "Lo-fi hip-hop loop with warm vinyl textures and mellow keys"

Settings

• Music Endpoint dropdown:
  • Compose -- Generate a track from your prompt or composition plan. Returns audio only.
  • Other endpoints may be available for different generation modes
• Target Length (seconds) field -- Default: 30. Set the desired track length
• Model dropdown -- "Eleven Music" (default). Choose the ElevenLabs music model best aligned with your genre
• Output Format dropdown -- "MP3 . 44.1kHz" (default). Choose delivery codec, bitrate, and sample rate

Music Composition Workspace (Right Side, Below the Audio Workspace)

This is a powerful planning tool for structured compositions:

• "Create / Refine Plan" button -- Opens the composition planner (requires a music prompt first)
• Timeline -- Visual timeline showing the composition structure with sections
• Cursor position indicator
• Composition Snapshot -- Shows sections and styles that mirror the timeline. Select a block to inspect details

The Composition Workspace lets you:

• Tune section durations
• Set beat markers
• Add lyrical cues
• Get real-time playback feedback

Audio Workspace (Top Right)

Same as the Audio Generator workspace:

• Waveform display
• Playback controls (play, stop, prev, next)
• Trim controls with start/end timestamps
• Volume, loop, speed controls
• Snap and Scrub toggles

Previous Generations

A gallery at the bottom shows all previous music generations with a count (e.g., "0 total"). Each entry can be played back, edited, or sent to the timeline.

Step-by-Step: Compose Music with ElevenLabs Music

1. Navigate to Generators > Music Generator (or app.pr0ta.com/generator?type=music)
2. The ElevenLabs Music panel opens on the left
3. Type a music prompt describing the desired track -- be specific about:
   • Genre/style (cinematic, lo-fi, electronic, orchestral, etc.)
   • Instruments and sounds
   • Energy level and progression
   • Mood and emotion
4. Set Target Length in seconds (default 30s -- adjust as needed for your project)
5. Choose Music Endpoint -- "Compose" for standard generation
6. Choose Output Format -- MP3 . 44.1kHz is fine for most uses
7. Click "Compose Track"
8. The generated audio appears in the Workspace
9. Use playback controls to review
10. Optionally use "Create / Refine Plan" to break the composition into sections and iterate on the structure

Step-by-Step: Generate Sound Effects

Sound effects can also be generated through the Music Generator:

1. Use a descriptive prompt focused on the sound effect, e.g.:
   • "Heavy sword clash with metallic ring and echo"
   • "Footsteps on gravel, slow pace, outdoor ambience"
   • "Explosion with debris and rumble, cinematic quality"
2. Set a short Target Length (2-10 seconds for most SFX)
3. Compose as normal
4. Trim the result in the Workspace if needed

Music Prompt Restrictions (TOS)

Never reference artist names in music prompts. ElevenLabs Music rejects prompts containing artist/band name references as TOS violations. This includes "in the style of [Artist]", "[Artist] meets [Artist]", and similar patterns.

❌ REJECTED: "in the style of Radiohead — atmospheric electronic"
❌ REJECTED: "Billie Eilish-inspired dark pop with breathy vocals"

✅ WORKS: "Ambient electronic with ethereal piano, deep cinematic bass, orchestral strings building to a climax"
✅ WORKS: "Dark atmospheric pop with breathy female vocals, sparse reverb-heavy production"
✅ WORKS: "Minimalist neo-classical piano with granular synthesis textures and slow string swells"

Describe the sound, instruments, mood, and energy — not the artists you want it to sound like. Use genre descriptors, instrument names, production techniques, and emotional language instead.

Tips

• The suggested prompt pills are a good starting point -- click one and then modify it
• Never use artist names in prompts — ElevenLabs rejects them as TOS violations. Use genre/instrument/mood descriptors instead.
• For film scores, describe the emotional arc (e.g., "building tension" or "triumphant resolution")
• The Composition Workspace is especially useful for longer pieces where you want control over verse/chorus/bridge structure
• Generated music can be sent directly to the Timeline for integration with video and dialogue
• Multiple short generations can be composed and layered on the Timeline for complex soundscapes
• Always place music on a dedicated music track — never on the same track as narration or dialogue. Concurrent audio on the same track is invalid and the renderer will reject it. Create the track first with POST /timeline/tracks (see pr0ta-timeline)
• Use GET /audio/analyze to quickly check music-vs-narration balance before rendering a full preview
