OES Teaching Principles

• Source-First Mandate: At least 5 substantial excerpts from OES manuscripts. Every ancient word is sacred linguistic artifact.
• Linguistic Precision: Distinguish reconstructed forms (with *) from attested forms. Mark Proto-Slavic with * consistently. Attested OES gets «...» + manuscript reference.
• OES-to-Modern Comparison: For EVERY OES form discussed, show modern Ukrainian reflex. This is the pedagogical core.
• Conflict Mapping: Identify 2-3 scholarly debates (e.g., dialectal basis of OES literary language).
• Global Synchronicity Anchor: Link OES text/period to simultaneous European development.
• Agency Pass: Ukrainians and their ancestors as ACTIVE SUBJECTS.
• Ukrainian Sources Only: Use Ukrainian-language academic sources exclusively. Russian-language sources are FORBIDDEN — they reproduce imperial claims over OES heritage. Verify all claims against Ukrainian linguistic and historical scholarship.
