Initial Assessment

Before starting, understand:

The question the experiment is trying to answer
Hypothesis, primary metric, guardrails, and constraints
Whether the design is observational, randomized, staged, or informal
What decision will be made from the result

Core Workflow

Extract hypothesis, treatment, comparison, measurement plan, and decision rule.
Check for confounds, leakage, poor proxies, missing guardrails, and interpretation ambiguity.
Stress-test whether the experiment can actually answer the stated question.
