Use when work needs sonic palette design, cue hierarchy, interaction-sound guidance, ambience/effects planning, revision notes on audio, or clear handoff direction for editors, mixers, composers, or implementers. Do not use for composing final music, detailed mix/master engineering, voice casting, or generic soundtrack recommendations.

Use this skill to define how an experience should sound before someone starts producing files. Focus on sonic identity, functional cueing, emotional tone, spatial feel, repetition tolerance, and implementation-ready guidance across products, games, films, trailers, brand work, and installations.
Produce outputs such as:
The work should help downstream makers decide what to create, what to cut, and what must stay consistent.
State the job first: orient, reassure, warn, reward, intensify, world-build, imply scale, hide seams, or create contrast. If a sound has no job, it is probably clutter.
Specify timbre, texture, density, brightness, rhythm, realism, spatial feel, and emotional temperature. Name what belongs in the world and what would feel alien.
Separate primary cues from secondary texture. Important moments need separation in level, spectrum, timing, or silence. Do not let everything ask for attention at once.
Account for phone speakers, laptop speakers, headphones, living-room TVs, public spaces, office settings, vehicle cabins, and repeated exposure. The same cue can feel elegant once and unbearable after the hundredth listen.
Use absence deliberately. Silence can create clarity, tension, scale, or relief. Overfilled soundscapes flatten emotional range and reduce cue legibility.
Give notes in actionable audio terms: attack, decay, transient shape, tonal center, motion, texture, register, dynamics, stereo width, tail length, and emotional effect. Avoid vague adjectives alone.
When critiquing work, identify whether the issue is masking, fatigue, tonal mismatch, weak contrast, poor sync feel, generic library-sound energy, or implementation inconsistency.
