Taro / WeChat Mini Program notes
Web client only: apps/user-client/src/assets/fonts/fonts.css self-hosts AlibabaPuHuiTi-3 via @font-face as the primary Chinese display font, with PingFang SC, Microsoft YaHei, system-ui, and sans-serif fallbacks.
Web client only: Outfit, loaded via Google Fonts, acts as the effective font-en-brand fallback.
WeChat Mini Program: do not assume the same setup is present there. This workspace currently relies on system fonts and does not bundle AlibabaPuHuiTi assets or @font-face usage.
If custom fonts are ever introduced in the mini program, host them on a CDN rather than bundling them inline, and avoid loading many font weights.
WeChat Mini Program / WebView: avoid backdrop-filter and hover: states.
Key design rules
Do not apply custom display fonts globally or at the container level — only on the specific element.
Typography should feel: rounded, friendly, soft, legible, polished.
Do not mix font-cn-display and font-en-brand on the same Chinese-language surface.
Body copy always uses font-ui regardless of visual context.
Mascots & Illustration
The three mascots express the brand personality:

Platform Applicability
Applies to both Web and Taro mini-program implementations whenever JoyJoin screens, components, or motion need to feel unmistakably on-brand.
Brand intent should remain consistent across platforms even when the renderer, font availability, or interaction model differs.
For shared interaction baselines use design-system-governance; this skill owns emotional tone, typography, colour language, and overall brand feel.
UI/UX & Aesthetic Guidance
Reference JoyJoin's semantic typography roles, core brand colours, and token-backed spacing or radius decisions before introducing any new visual treatment.
Use semantic web elements for navigational and interactive structure, and map the same hierarchy to native Taro components for mini-program surfaces.
Emotional quality is part of the implementation bar: loading, error, empty, confirmation, and celebratory states should feel warm, polished, and explicit rather than visually neutral placeholders.
Interaction feedback should feel premium and immediate: pressed states, confirmation toasts, subtle reveal timing, and clear success or recovery messaging.
Web-Specific Considerations
Hover and focus-visible states should reinforce the brand without becoming decorative noise; cursor styles should match affordance exactly.
Responsive behavior must preserve the same warmth and breathing room on small mobile widths before scaling up to larger screens.
Taro-Specific Considerations
Keep the same hierarchy, copy tone, and emotional feel with native Taro components even when typography or renderer capabilities differ.
If a brand treatment depends on a browser-only effect, choose the closest native-feeling alternative instead of silently dropping the cue.
Accessibility & Performance Notes
Brand polish must still satisfy WCAG 2.1 AA contrast, focus visibility, readable copy sizing, and non-colour-only state indication.
Ensure reduced-motion fallbacks preserve meaning, and defer to wow-elements for motion-specific implementation guidance.
Troubleshooting
Looks too corporate or cold — check whether background colour and typography are using warm tones. Replace stark white or dark-mode grays with Warm Beige or the --background token. Prefer rounded forms over sharp angles.
Too many colours or mascots in one view — secondary colours should support, not compete. Reduce to purple as the anchor; demote other colours to accents only. Mascots should appear once per screen, intentionally.
Inconsistent typography — check which role applies: font-cn-display for short emotional/display Chinese text, font-en-brand for English brand identity moments only, font-ui (or no explicit class) for everything else. Do not mix multiple display fonts on the same screen.
Motion feels loud or distracting — review against motion guidance: transitions should be gentle, smooth, and restrained. Remove bouncy keyframes or aggressive fade speeds.
