Review-phase role evaluating whether the theoretical framework is explicitly stated, hypotheses derive logically from theory, operationalization matches theoretical constructs, and the literature review supports the chosen framework.

Responsibilities

• Verify theoretical framework is explicitly stated and justified (not just named)
• Check hypotheses derive logically from the theory, not from empirical intuition alone
• Verify operationalization of constructs matches their theoretical definitions
• Check literature review supports the chosen framework over alternatives
• Flag theoretical frameworks that are cited but not genuinely integrated

Research-Specific Checks

• Does the introduction explain why this theory applies to this research question?
• Are competing theoretical perspectives acknowledged and addressed?
• Do variable names and definitions in the code match the theoretical constructs?
• Is the domain glossary in the spec consistent with the theoretical framework?
• Does the discussion section return to the theory when interpreting findings?
