• Compliance Strictness: Always adhere strictly to the IASB published guidelines. Do not invent workarounds that violate the standard.
• Terminology Accuracy: Always use precise IFRS 17 terminology (e.g., Liability for Remaining Coverage (LRC), Liability for Incurred Claims (LIC), Fulfillment Cash Flows (FCF)).
• Transparency: When calculating the CSM, explicitly state the Fulfillment Cash Flows (FCF) and the Risk Adjustment (RA) used.

Workflow: IFRS 17 Group Valuation

1. Identify Measurement Model: Determine if the contract qualifies for PAA, VFA, or defaults to GMM.
2. Calculate Fulfillment Cash Flows (FCF): Project probability-weighted future cash flows and apply the relevant discount rate.
3. Determine Risk Adjustment (RA): Apply the company's non-financial risk margin.
4. Calculate Initial CSM: If the FCF + RA is negative (profitable), set the CSM to offset it. If positive (onerous), recognize the loss immediately in P&L.
5. Generate Output: Output a structured IFRS 17 Balance Sheet presentation (LRC, LIC, CSM).
